Hosting their flagship event of the year, MMA Matrix called their first event of the year – Matrix Fight Night open on 12th March’19! Entirely dedicated to the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), the event witnessed some of the top MMA Fighters making it to the cage. Spilling sweat and blood like water, one couldn’t have imagined the brutality of the of the fight night. Calling it a championship at par with world’s most renowned ones, won’t be wrong.
Coming from different states of the country, Matrix Fight Night only featured INDIAN MMA Fighters. Driven towards pushing and encouraging the potential in our country, the purpose of the Fight Night was to bring forth the understated fighters and give them the opportunity to show their skill and moves on a larger scale.
The team of MMA Matrix behind Matrix fight Night i.e Tiger Shroff, Krishna Shroff, Ayesha Shroff and Alan Fenandes put in all their minds and effort to provide most to the skilful fighters. Impressing with his moves everytime, Tiger has become nation’s favorite with his humbleness, incredible flexibility and fighting techniques. He didn’t miss an opportunity to woo the audience with his kicks and style, from inside the cage, at the Fight Night. Krishna too, who has been inspiring a number of women through her insta-videos showing her exceptional workout sessions, shared a word and two about the importance of fitness in her life. When it came to Ayesha Shroff, the super mom went on and elaborated on the importance of martial arts and the need of it at this hour. She was proud that her kids pursued the sport.
The Pro-MMA Fighter and the guy behind heading the flagship event, Alan ‘The Bull’ Fenandes as famously called in the MMA World, burnt the midnight oil to make this event a huge success! The been there, done that former fighter expressed what goes on inside a fighter’s head, and tough training and dieting they go through, before the big day. He wished all the fighters luck and waited to see which corner won.
With the Blue and Red Corner dividing the crowd into two, the intense fight inside the cage got everyone sitting on the edge of their seat. The hooting only seemed to rise until the hole Dome started to echo at one point of time. The enthralling scene had both the corners raging to give a tough fight and there was just passion and intensity filled in the air. One could smell the rushing adrenaline and gushing emotions easily.The Corners had fighters waiting to test their practice and training. The Red Corner consisted of Dhruv Chaudhary, Sandeep Dahiya, Vikas Singh Ruhil, Amit Raj, Sachin Pawar, Rajinder Meena and Pradeep Kumar, whereas the Blue Corner had Seth Rosario, Rakesh Ahlawat, Abhishek Rana, Pawan Goyat, Srikant Sekhar, Vijay Sehni and Raghvinder Singh.
At the end, it was definitely a night to remember for all. The techniques and methods kept the whole Dome in awe. Emerged the champions of the champions, the fighters gave a neck-to neck fight to their opponents. The final list of Champions included – Vikas Singh Ruhil, Amit Raj, Dhruv Chaudhary, Sandeep Dahiya from the Red Corner and Seth Rosario, Srikant Sekhar and Raghvinder Singh from the Blue Corner. The night was filled with many timeless jewels. Instances like when the spirit of sportsmanship was cheered when the winner hugged his opponent, the time when a losing fighter won the game, when the game changed its course in the second round the time when everyone witnessed the knockout punch and more. If only there was a moment or two to be called as the highlight, here the whole night became the highlight. From start till the end.
A star studded night with Disha Patani, Ananya Pandey, Gulshan Grover, Chunky Pandey, Prateik Babbar, Arbaaz Khan, Salim-Sulaiman, Athiya Shetty, Aayush Sharma, Nakul Sahdev, Malvika Raaj, Mandana Karimi, Sameer Soni, Karnvir Bohra, Ronit and Rohit Roy, Meiyang Chang, Sneha Ullal to name a few, made the night glamourous.
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Matrix Fight Night has set a bar, incomparable, for MMA Championships in India. “This platform ‘MFN’ is dedicated to promote Indian MMA Fighters, and it has a long way to go.
